Bahamas Out Islands

Reachable by ferry or charter plane from the mainland, the islands of Abacos, Andros, Bimini, Cat Island, the Exumas, Long Island, Eleuthera, and San Salvador form the Out Islands of the Bahamas. The relative lack of development has made the Out Islands particularly appealing to the adventerous and travelers seeking to "get away from it all." In the Out Islands, you'll find rare and endangered animals, pristine "bush," and coral reefs.

Expect to see little change in the Out-Islands, except for Eleuthera, on which several boutique hotels are planning to open in the near future.
